PlayStation Derailed – Episode 19 – PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale

Posted in PlayStation Universe by psu on April 30th, 2012

Oh lord, we hope you’re strapped in for this one; we go extra off-the-rails this episode.

In order to stay true to our newly assimilated weekly schedule, Don Oliveira and Tim Nunes had to meet at ungodly hours of the night just to deliver you the goods. As usual, we go over recent news, but, more importantly, we tell you everything we know about Sony’s upcoming “Smash Bros rip-off,” PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale.

PlayStation Derailed - Episode 18 - God of War: Ascension

Posted in PlayStation Universe by psu on April 20th, 2012

This week Don Oliveira, Mike Harradence, Joseph Fait and, if you listen for long enough, Tim Nunes, go over all the need-to-know PlayStation news from this week. Yup, that pretty much means we talk your ear off about God of War: Ascension (or GoW4, whatever).

This episode’s intro/outro music was brought to you by Powerglove -- probably the most awesome band, ever. We opened (and closed) with their track “Omnishred (We're Gonna Need A Bigger Sword).” Make sure to check them out here.

PlayStation Derailed - Episode 17 - PAX East, Silent Hill, Lollipop Chainsaw

Posted in PlayStation Universe by psu on April 16th, 2012
See? Told you we’d be back more often. In this episode we dive into PAX East; we talk about almost every game there, which may explain the podcast’s three hour length. We really didn’t mean to run for so long, but if you stick around, you won’t regret it.
Join Don Oliveira, Mike Harradence, and first-timer Joseph Fait as we talk about, well, pretty much every game coming out this year. If you weren’t at PAX East (or even if you were) you might want to listen in. We go into so much detail that you can pretty much envision the whole show.
Oh, and on the off chance that you actually do think you wasted your time, or if you've got questions / comments, send an email to podcast@psu.com. Swear as much as possible.
Like this episode’s intro/outro music? Then check out “All Summer Long” by Massimo Borsellino. Make sure to give his album, titled Young Poet, some love. We can’t get these catchy tunes out of our head. Check out his YouTube channel here.

PlayStation Derailed – Episode 16 – PlayStation 4 / Orbis, used video games

Posted in PlayStation Universe by psu on April 5th, 2012

We return to air after almost a month hiatus – but don’t worry, we’re back full force. Join Don Oliveira, Mike Harradence, and Tim Nunes as we hit the biggest headlines from the past few weeks. We teach you what a “nooner” is, talk your ear off about the rumored PlayStation 4 (or Orbis), the used video game market, and more.  Try to keep on track; this may be the most derailed episode of Derailed ever.

Like this episode’s intro/outro music? Then check out our good friend Jitsu’s video because you’ve been enjoying his single titled “I Can’t” featuring Jonathan Emile. Make sure to send him some love and tell your friends!
